Laura Morgan is the model, artist and costume designer you’d recognize from recent Celine and Helmut Lang Campaigns.

Levaing school at 15, she started out her journey making music, short films, and documenting her and her friends’ “street life” in East London. She began my modeling career with Alexander McQueen in 1998 and was lucky enough to work with Lee and the team for six seasons in house from the point of inspiration through to the end of the show.

Alexander McQueen was her first show in which she wore the silver coil corset made by Shaun Leane that had been cast on her body. Her body cast went on to be the base of all the McQueen pieces made from leather, wood, metal and glass. Three of which she wore on the runway and have gone on to be exhibited in the MET and V&A.

She moved to NYC in 2001 where in addition to modeling she had my own small fashion label and started an electro band from a friends bedroom and doing solo work with Madonna’s team in LA.

In 2006 she took up studies in film, music and fashion design and went on to assist stylists Joe McKenna and Lori Goldstein as well as styling and beginning costume design under her own name, winning a Music Video of the year award, and fashion film of the year.

She fully moved into costume design in 2008, designing for five studio movies, two indies, one being Oscar nominated and was the assistant designer for Madonna on three of her World tours. In addition to this she has worked on music videos, editorials, short films, ads.

Currently she lives in Hudson NY and is focusing on working with children from different backgrounds, and creating her own art using film, photo, drawing, prose and sound. She has her first solo show in May, and her work is published internationally.

She is also renovating my 1800’s house and turning it into a creative arts space to be used to show emerging artists work, performances, live music and hold events where dialogues between artists, economists, scientists, environmentalists and possibly some mentalists will happen.

It is her recent collaboration with the photographer Talia Chetrit that has brought her to the pinnacle of industry modelling for numerous editorials, as well as the Celine and Helmut Lang campaigns.
