Place of Origin:
I was 14 and on vacation with my family in London. We were shopping on Oxford Street, and suddenly this scout ran up to us and stopped us. I thought he was going to ask for directions, but he started to talk about young foreign models they had in their agency. I was like; wait a second, so you are suggesting…? And yeah, here I am.
What was your first modeling job?
It was a shoot for Harpers Bazaar China in Iceland when I was 17. I’ve never tried anything that was that challenging, insanely cold… and absolutely amazing! First of all the team was fun, and it was the first time in my life I experienced a country built like that from mother nature’s power. I’ll never forget it.
Running cause that’s my way to feel free. Yoga, to relax my mind. Besides that, I can’t live without my bike cause that’s how I get around to my friends and the bakery I work in and my beloved coffee machine so I can kick start the day in a tasteful way.
What are you listening to at the moment?
The artists I’ve been listening to lately are London Grammar, Nina Simone, and Kanye West.
Favorite movie, tv show:
The Prestige is my favourite movie and House of Cards is my addiction.
Favorite designer, fragrance or beauty product:
I love to wear this Danish brand called Moss Copenhagen. My favourite fragrance is Calvin Klein, One Summer. I always use Body Shop makeup and Moroccan hair oil.
What were you doing before modeling?
I was at a business high school, called Niels Brock (which I finished when I was 18), used to work as a volunteer on a Comedy Café in Copenhagen and in a bakery, which I still do when I’m at home, so just drop by and I’ll personally serve you Danish pastries and a good old cappuccino!
What would you be doing if you weren’t modeling?
Studying to become a journalist and in the spare time I would be hanging around comedy clubs and trying to use my running skills for competition.
What’s something uncool that you love anyway?
Politics, history, and comedy. I always read the daily news, listen to Danish comedy podcasts and read Kenn Follett’s amazing Century trilogy that goes from the First World War until the Cold War – so I’m always keeping up with my interests when I travel for work.
Favorite modeling experience so far?
Besides my first job for Harper’s Bazaar China, I must say my third show for Gucci, their Gucci Cruise show was amazing, cause the show was epic with live music and nice location, but also because I’ve started to get to know a lot of the Gucci models and we were all 105 staying at the same hotel, so it was like a big family on vacation together in Florence.
What’s the best thing about your hometown/country?
The blue ocean and the rye bread that I sell in the bakery. I always carry it with me and freeze it down when I’m away, but it’s just not on the same level as fresh rye bread.
Which brand would you really love to model for?
Peter Kaaden, a German photographer whose works I really admire cause the style is unique and challenging the standard beauty portrait.
Place you would love to visit:
Spain, cause I love Tapas. Southern France, cause wine and cheese is the way to my heart. And South America for backpacking. (Yes, I love food and new challenging experiences)
Currently you’re obsessed with/about:
I’ve just been in New York for the first time for work, so I’ve really been interested in American culture and watching these amazing documentaries on the American Netflix, I’ll definitely recommend one about Steve Jobs and another one called “What Happened Nina Simone?”
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
It’s not advice somebody has given me, but it’s something I figured out by myself during my time as a full-time model (I’m in my second year as full time); I’m not traveling cause of work, but because I’m a young and curious woman who just wants to get to know the world and new mindsets.
