Texas born actress, Amy Bailey trained as a professional ballerina from the age of 16. After performing with The Houston Ballet and The Joffery Ballet in New York, she was invited to work with The Royal Opera and London Ballet Theatre in London.
In 2009, Rob Marshall chose Amy to join the cast of "Nine" starring Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz, Daniel Day Lewis and Sophia Loren. Shortly after, she landed the role of the Hatteress in Tim Burton's “Alice in Wonderland”, which took her back to America. While filming in LA, Bailey began working with the highly acclaimed comedy improv company, “The Groundlings”, and within a few months she was performing and competing on the comedy circuit in both L.A. and London.
Broadening her horizons further, Bailey landed lead roles in two West End musicals “The Producers” and “Oklahoma”, where she was able to showcase her singing, dancing and acting skills to stellar reviews. In 2009 she performed alongside Beyonce and Hugh Jackman, under Baz Luhrmann's direction for the 81st Annual Oscars, and was also featured in several films and TV shows, including The Discovery Channel's “Alive” , Syfy Network's “Legend Of Cain”, and the viral hit “A Girl Walks Into a Bar”
Last Summer Amy returned to the London stage, reprising Diane Keaton's role as 'Linda Christie' in Woody Allen's “Play It Again, Sam” at The Gatehouse Theatre. She has recently finished appearing as Miss Sarah Brown in director Racky Plew’s adaptation of “Guys and Dolls”.
Amy has also appeared in an Italian Vogue fashion film for the Designer Marios Schwab, "Chiara Skura", as well as a short film in conjunction with Style.Com's Video Fashion Week for the Design Duo "Camilla & Marc".
